~DOWNLOAD ♁ The Italian's Stolen Bride ♷ Marriage For Possession Or Passion Luciano Peretti May Still Be The Handsome And Hot Blooded Man She Fell For Six Years Ago, But Now Skye Wants Nothing To Do With Him She Can T Forget Luc S Rejection Of Her Then, Or How She Refused His Wicked Family When They Tried To Bribe Her To End Her Pregnancy Since Then, She S Raised Her Son Single Handedly Poverty Stricken But Proud But Luc Is Determined To Take Back The Bride And The Child Who Were Stolen From Him And There S One Quick And Effective Way To Do It Marriage I really enjoyed this story, although the story starts out AFTER all of the angsty drama of the Hero believing evil lies and casting the heroine out of his life I wish that angsty goodness had been included in this story, it would have made this one perfection Luc was a total sweetheart after he learned the truth of his family s deception He worked his ass off to regain Skye s trust again after he had shattered her world Skye was terrified of being devastated by Luc again and she made Luc work to get his family back. The story was sweet as the relationship mended Luc s family s deceptions and lies in the beginning were OTT and unforgivable I don t think I could have gone down that forgiveness path the way that Skye did Sitting here after the story is over, I still think Luc s asshole of a father got off way too easily in the end That dude seriously needed to pay Maybe not pay THAT much, but he seriously need to pay somehow, and grovel too There was no grovel from that old asshat, and I still hated him after the story had ended All in all though, this story sucked me in from the first page and kept me glued until the very ending. I get that he was lied to by family that he trusted,so the hero was not as hateful as most, but I m so tired of authors just looking for excuses so they can have a hero sleep with other women while claiming to still have feelings for the heroine If I had a dime for every time I heard one of these slime balls say I thought of you every time I sunk my snake in another garden or I m not a monk.I d have a lot of dimes And of course, even thought she was betrayed and ditched like gunk he scraped off a plate, she hasn t been with another guy in 6 years Why is she a nun What kind of healthy example is that to her child Then she subjugated herself to this disgusting familyA mother has a duty to protect her child and subjecting her child to such an immoral and evil family is not protection I would have used what they had done which is fraud and gotten a protective order preventing any contact between my child and the immorality that made up the core values of the hero s family. I wish I d been shot before I picked up this book view spoiler This book legit made me SAD and it took a while before I could write down why I figured I had to get it off my chest or else it would just sit there like a heavy lump So the author goes to great length to drive the point that the HEA is only arrived at because the in laws from hell finally, reluctantly, accept their daughter in law The reason for this grudging acceptance is that she has produced an outstanding grandchild who can already read at the age of 5 as well as showing above average athletic prowess The in laws were stunned because they figured that any child born out of a woman with such low breeding as they consider their daughter in law would have been of equally poor stock So their world view and, I am afraid, the author s world view, is that children are only worthwhile if they are perfect If they have special needs, physical or mental disabilities, or a learning disorder, they are not as worthwhile and it is evidence of poor genes and or poor parenting I was really shocked to see the kind of thinking expressed here that would not be out of place in Hitler s Germany or in the laboratory of some eugenics scientist The author is selling us an HEA whereby the formerly vilified heroine was able to win over her in laws by producing an heir worthy of them because he is above average intelligent and physically strong, so they can be proud of him If she hadn t produced such a fine specimen, it would have confirmed the in laws view that not only their daughter in law is worthless but their own grandson is worthless And the heroine is pushing, pushing, pushing for a relationship between her son and these evil, amoral grandparents It honestly made me sick hide spoiler This was truly an incredible readand made me realize, once again why I truly enjoy reading HP s Luc and Skye were viciously separated years ago when his family tried to discredit her Unfortunately she was pregnant with their son The story opens with his brother confessing to Luc on his deathbed all the lies that he had committed to falsely accuse Skye He also let him know that Skye had been pregnant with his child Until this point, Luc did not even know he had a child From there the story moves to how Luc works to find them and even harder to win them back into his life I was really impressed how Emma Darcy could handle such an emotional topic beautifully portraying all the hurt, bitterness and pain Yet through it all love survives and provides the ability to forgive and heal We get a view throughout the book from both the hero and heroine and most importantly through the innocent eyes of a little boy Out of the mouth of babes What sets this one apart is that for the majority of the book it s the hero and heroine against the world or specifically, against his family Normally in the world of HP, the conflict is between the H h This book had a bit of that in the beginning and a few minor confrontations during the course of the book, but the majority was the couple united to protect their little family from the enmity of his family Nice change of pace. H h were broken up by the hero s family and heroine had a secret baby without any financial support The H s brother tells the hero the truth on his deathbed So the hero immediately seeks out the heroine and the five year old son he didn t know he had It sounds like the formula for an angsty set up but the heroine forgives the hero quickly and then won t feed the hero s rage against his parents because it would be bad for their son if he was cut off from his grandparents While this is mature and wonderful and reasonable I wanted a little drama, a little groveling from the parents, and a little unreasonable behavior since that s what HPs are all about.I felt the parents got off way too easy And I felt for the hero he had been betrayed and he missed out on his child s life The heroine at least got to have that. This is not an H h centric book but if you re in the mood for family dynamics and how love can heal all rifts this one is for you. This is a difficult one to rate as it has sooooo many tropes that work, but one huge obstacle for me.Luc finds out from his brother s death bed confession that the girl he loved and thought cheated with same soon to be dead brother was actually innocent all along Ouch Right from the start we have some major betrayal Betrayal between brothers and the Ass hat dad as well as the betrayal of Skye by Luc Not only was the love of Luc s life innocent at the nasty charges but she was pregnant with his son.The plot rests on Luc s reintroduction to his insta family and his attempts to woo Skye back After being called a slut of the worst order, she is understandably reluctant to let Luc back in Not so with Matt, apparently the Luc clone in want and need of a dad.Luc has an uphill battle winning Skye back but with the alpha Italian magic P at work, it s settle quite soon. One huge flaw in the ointment are Luc s parents, two of the most unpleasant parents in Harley Land Class conscious at work For me, Luc s betrayal, the sheer nastiness of his parents, and the inevitable cave in of the h dropped this a star Luc is actually pretty beta for an uber alpha male, but his betrayal still lingers. I read this a second time and just cannot get over the H and his behavior I hated when they talked about all the women he had while apart but of course it was always her and nothing ever compared Barf And I truly hated his parents Even at the end They could not redeem themselves I just hated the whole book I didn t like the whole premise of the story actually It was just blah Would not read again If I had remembered I had already read it, I wouldn t have put myself through the boredom and dislike of it again today Plus it was six years and she never moved on Oh but he did of course Lots and lots of it I wouldn t want her to have moved on either but I just wish once that a guy could keep it in his pants It is just annoying me again Just thinking about it pisses me off First of all why didn t he trust the h If he would have just investigated the picture or the supposed cheating scenario it would have fallen apart She was a virgin when he met her For crying out loud, just trust her I need to go read another story and get this POS out of my brain Did I say how much I hated this book Boring The conflict was all about the H s family YMMV, but I prefer to enjoy an angsty conflict between the H h There was one, but it was resolved early on and after that it was all about bringing the H s family back together.
